韩式炒年糕

since the k-wave, i think many ppl like me eager to try out korean cuisine, for e.g. 炒年糕.
i've tried su korean cuisine's 炒年糕, not bad. my 07S18 姐妹们(weng ling, jiaying, amy, shirlyn) love it.

tried the 炒年糕 from this korean 小吃店 in square two level 3 beside a korean supermart with shirlyn, both agreed below expectations.

炒年糕 from 东大门 DONG DAE MUN SEOUL STREET FOOD (the vivocity outlet), terrible.

beautiful place, for beer-lovers/German pork knuckle-lovers/ppl who wanna try out new stuff, i recommend this place.

pricey (to me) but worth the try.

Goodbye Ritz

went to Ritz Carlton for a night with my sisters & their bfs, i'm a lightbulb lol. it's a free nightstay due to mayb my sister's credit card benefits?
started our day at NUSS in suntec city. ppl present: grandparents, uncle, cousin, sisters plus their bfs, me and my dad. My dad & sisters treated everyone to lunch in their hurry to use up their F&B vouchers before they expires hahaha.

walked quite a distance, passed through marina square then millenia walk to Ritz lol

While my sister's at the check-in counter, i ate some free gingerbread cookies there hehe
used the toilet, its door is like one of a wardrobe, can't be locked. saw this huge mirror and the basin, on my right is the this huge bath tub view of the highway again, on my left the shower corner & the toilet bowl within a separted cubicle (separated by the door).
stocked the fridge with orange juice, jolly shandy and root beer hehe. watched a bit of telly, then played poker cards. then, we attacked the malls. divided into two teams, team A: me, my eldest sis plus bf, team B: second sis n bf. we arranged to meet at this German restaurant, Paulaner Bräuhaus for dinner.

i like the restaurant's furnishings, the ambience was fantastic 舒服
they told me that the restaurant looked a lot beautiful in the day, hmm gotta see it some other time. We were served some wheat bread with butter & this meat paste (i call it meat jam hehe), i like it a lot for a person who detests bread=P.
We had beer and german pork knuckles, quite a new experience for me. The beer though a bit bitter, has this pretzel smell or is it taste as described by eddie, malt flavour ba. (*we were on the second floor of the restaurant, the bar/brewery is downstairs) they said that the beer goes well with the pork knuckle, so it's a bite of pork knuckle with a gulp of beer.

We had some expensive desserts, hmm yap the standard is there, it's special but not sth u would spend money to eat again (i meant the desserts). On the whole, i think it burnt a hole in my companions' pockets :o*, thanks for the treat! took coasters as remembrance hehe

went back to the hotel to put down our 战利品, then set out again to late-night shopping at city-link and marina square. after which, team A settled in this macau or is it hong kong cafe? for supper till 1 sth or 2 sth... ordered 鸳鸯 (good), lychee tea (disappointing), butter toast 2 or is it 2 half inches thick (yummy), century egg porridge (normal), 炸酱面 (noodles itself springy i like, they shld work on the sauce).
back in the hotel, found team B, one going to slp, one showering. i bathed last, it was 3sth am liao, showered quickly n brushed my teeth, filled the tub with warm water (lazy to make a bubble bath), put on my hydrating mask hehe and fell asleep in the tub. the tub has this waterproof pillow in it with suction pads so 爽 x.x
woke up in cold... the water level was low, got drained cos the stopper's lousy. filled the tub again and blackout again. woke up in cold again, i looked out of the window it was dark, filled the tub again, blackout, woke up in cold, the sky lightened a bit, filled the tub again blackout lol.
woke up in cold again, the sky brightened a bit more, noe how a 浮尸 feels like liao so bloated becos of diffusion u noe all the water, my fingers wrinkled... quite 舒服 in the warm water.

got dressed, went out of the toilet 7sth am, slumped on the sofa (my bed) , slept till 10sth.
we felt that the room was below expectations for a 5-star hotel but the service from the security guards and the counter was definitely a 5-star one =)

at marina square, had breakfast at 包今天, all it's 招牌 dishes out of stock =.- then eddie got 大鸡 排from士林, i stole a few bites hehe, i wanted the oyster mee sua but too full liao...

went to my relative's wedding last sunday, 22nd dec. had flu, sniffing and blowing my nose most of the time so 惨... didn't look sick in the photos fortunately. The food is catered by tung lok so the standard is there but nothing special... the usual cold platter, steamed fish, cereal prawns, the chicken's gd, suckling pig normal, fish maw? or is it shark fin soup, stir-fried mee sua, red bean soup with glutinous rice balls.

Jiaying made these for me hehe so cute. the funny thing is that this bowl of alphabets soup is labelled as "FENGYI'S PUMPKIN SOUP". I like pumpkin soup but it wasn't available :o*

caught this movie on channel 5 long time ago. held my breaths during the course of the movie due to the suspence and amazing twists. I think it captured moments of what's going to happen in the corporate world in the near future, it seemed so real that I kinda gotten cold feet. The actor's superb, got me fooled till the last twist... WoW!!!

I assumed it has taken my warning because there's zero movement in the background. i feel so powerful muahahaha. reality check: *roll my eyes*
Anyone like to eat korean food? I love it, so ask me out to eat korean food k. I'll recommend some places :)

My first post

hmm it's 4.34am, with lp hlping me to set up this blog since i'm a com noob (any weird com probs can happen with me around haha). i set up this blog to capture some moments in my life, stuff that i recalled suddenly or watever in case i lost my memory some day mayb due to watever freaking accident haha or even old age and to get to know myself better from my own posts... mayb ten yrs down the road i read these posts again and realise how i've changed for the better or the worst, sth quite interesting (to myself) :P
